Privacy Policy
HarfHike does not gather your personal information.
HarfHike makes use of several services and shares only the data that is required for the service. For example, two locations for calculating directions.
For the services the privacy policies of the service providers apply.
The services used by HarfHike are:
- Apple (IOS) / Google (Android): Show map based on current location, calculate directions between two locations, get weather based on current location, search a location
- Mapbox: Show map based on current location, calculate directions between two locations
- Cycle Streets: Calculate directions between two locations
- Open-Elevation: Calculate the elevation of the points in a route
When enabled the following data is stored in the user's account (this is not shared with HarfHike):
- Workouts including the track (saved in Apple Health IOS / HealthConnect Android)
When an event is selected users can share their location with friends by inviting them to establish a 'connection'. Once connected you and your friend share each other's location. The location data is sent end-to-end encrypted so nobody else can see it. Connections are specific to an event and will expire automatically after the event. The user can stop a connection at any time.
